Tronrud Engineering in Norway has signed for a Marenco SH09 helicopter, making it one of several launch customers for the type. The single turbine aircraft will be based in the company-owned Eggemoen Aviation and Technology Park, 60 kilometres north west of Oslo, and will predominantly be used privately for utility missions and logistics. The company has been active since 1977 and has delivered more than 5,000 customised industrial projects since that time. It signed a letter of intent for the SH09 in 2014.

CEO Olav Tronrud says: “The progress achieved in recent years by Marenco has been significant. It has engineered and assembled two prototypes, with a third due this summer. The fact that Marenco has matured as a company led us into signing a firm agreement.”
