Danish flight school GreyBird is offering a comprehensive pilot programme from Aarhus in Denmark and is expanding with instructor courses in Sweden. The lessons transition from a P2002 to a Tecnam P2006T twin, and chief pilot Thomas Eriksen is delighted with the performance and low fuel burn of the latter, which runs on Mogas. “The P2006T only uses 18 litres per hour for each engine, which makes us stand out from all the other flight schools around.

“We are big fans of the P2006T. There really is no other light twin that can be operated so cheaply. The Diamond is much more expensive and it is also more expensive to operate. That is the only other aircraft that is in the same league.”

The company recently repainted its aircraft and included bright orange features in order to improve visibility.
