Textron Aviation is reporting that its Citation Latitude has become one of the world's best-selling business jets since entering the market in August 2015, and is the leader in the midsize segment with more deliveries in 2016 than any other aircraft in its category.

In 2016 the OEM delivered 42 Latitudes, and with certification in 35 countries, the global fleet of 58 aircraft has already surpassed 18,000 flight hours.

“The Citation Latitude fits a niche in the market for customers who want the amenities and comfort of a large cabin aircraft at a midsize acquisition price and excellent operating costs,” says senior VP of sales and marketing Rob Scholl. “Its success is another great example of how listening to our customers and investing in our products is helping to invigorate this segment, and we look forward to continuing the momentum in 2017.”

The Latitude has a maximum range of 2,850 nm and four-passenger range of 2,700 nm at high speed cruise, although up to nine passengers can be accommodated. It offers a six foot high cabin with a flat floor. Textron's wireless CMS provides connectivity and entertainment to each passenger through their personal electronic devices.
