Luxaviation Group has launched Luxaviation Helicopters with the intention of creating the first VIP helicopter management company with a truly global reach.

With a presence in Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, Luxaviation Helicopters will manage high end rotorcraft for private and business clients. It will also provide crews, training, maintenance, charter, sales and acquisitions. EASA approval is slated for the spring, at which point the operator plans to offer charter flights to yachts and cruise liners.

Charlotte Pedersen, formerly COO of Luxaviation Group, will lead Luxaviation Helicopters as CEO. Pedersen has been active in the aviation sector for 30 years, 17 of which were spent flying for the Danish Air Force. She says: “Luxaviation Helicopters will bring the luxury service standards of business jets into the helicopter world. Helicopter management is a natural complement to the services which the group already provides and we see significant potential in this area.

“Across the group, we already have the global experience and capabilities to support the needs of our VIP clients who own helicopters and wish to operate them worldwide. If a client wishes to use their helicopter in the Caribbean one week and in Bali the next, we can make that happen.

“Modern helicopters have the ability to fly almost everywhere, in all-weather conditions, and can be even faster than jets on short distances. This, however, requires highly-trained crews, world-class maintenance and a professional and experienced back office to arrange customs, permits and security preparations for our clients whose end-destinations might not be an established airport. We believe that we can meet such demands.”

Luxaviation Helicopters will manage all helicopter activity within the group. The business intends to expand worldwide through organic growth, company acquisitions and joint venture agreements with existing helicopter companies whose safety and quality standards meet its requirements.
