DC Aviation Al-Futtaim has signed an agreement with Lufthansa Technik to offer a package of MRO services from its hangar at Al Maktoum International airport, Dubai.

“We can provide regular checks as well as maintenance services, including unplanned repairs in the case of an AOG,” says VP of marketing Shahram Sadatel. “The portfolio also features services for aircraft cabins, including small modifications. Moreover, demand calls for a mobile aircraft and cabin service to serve the region, plus extensive FBO services for ground operations at the airport. This includes fuelling, catering for passengers and pilots, and transport services. A luxuriously equipped terminal with 1,300 sqm of space is available for this purpose.”

In addition DC Aviation has announced the expansion of its operations at Al Maktoum International airport after its joint venture partner Al-Futtaim leased an additional 10,000 sqm of land from Dubai South. “The new plot will drastically increase the operational potential of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, enabling us to expand our existing VIP lounge and hangar facility,” says CEO Michael Kuhn. “The expansion will more than double the hangar capacity and enable us to add two single aisle aircraft maintenance bays.”

In other news, DC Aviation in Germany has entered into a partnership with Stuttgart-based sales and brokerage specialist Lenz Aviation, led by Hans-Joerg Lenz. “Our strategic alliance is another step forward. Lenz has worldwide aircraft sales and brokerage experience that will benefit us enormously,” Sadatel concludes. The partnership is intended to boost the company’s aircraft management business.
