The African Business Aviation Association has released the dates for its 2016 symposium AfBAC, which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa on 17-18 November.

AfBAC is intended to build on the success of the regional symposia series by addressing the continent's business aviation sector as a whole, rather than by region. AfBAC will have a familiar format and hopes to encourage 'inspired' conversation via social media engagement. Organisers will also incorporate an additional parallel forum on day two of the event. A workshop exploring the future of aerial technologies, remotely piloted aircraft systems and UAVs will be run by a working committee.

“The refreshed name reflects the continually evolving nature of the association,” says founding chairman Tarek Ragheb. “We continue our commitment to provide our members with the best opportunities to be educated and informed about the African market and its place on the international landscape.

“To date our regional symposia have proved very popular and this next meeting will build on that success. It is time for our events to encompass the needs of the continent as a whole.”

Cape Town is seen as a key hub for South African business aviation, supporting a dynamic business and leisure economy. “It is an exciting destination with a lively atmosphere, great climate and beautiful topography,” Ragheb continues. “This makes it a highly desirable venue and we anticipate our biggest turn out yet at AfBAC 2016.”

AfBAA is seeking corporate sponsors, delegates and speakers to participate and encourages all those with an interest in Africa to get involved.
