Italian operator Heli Protection's entrol H21 simulator, based on the Bell 412, has now been certified as FNPT II MCC by ENAC, the Italian CAA. The certification means that entrol has expanded its portfolio of simulators with the addition of one of the most widely used types in the industry.

The simulator recreates in detail the Bell 412 cockpit and flight behaviour, as entrol ceo Luis Olarte explains: “Due to the Bell 412 incorporation, entrol is one step forward as a company. This model of helicopter is one of the most used in the world and we believe that our simulator will be an efficient and useful training tool for all the companies that want to provide training to their Bell 412 pilots and practice mission operations like SAR and HEMS.” It will be equipped with a fully functional hardware replica to improve pilot immersion.

Heli Protection has European bases in Italy, France and Switzerland and trains personnel in human performance and limitation and crew resource management.
