The Principality of Monaco and Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur Group (ACA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop heliport activities within the south of France.

ACA operates some of Europe's busiest hubs. Its three platforms at Nice, Cannes and St. Tropez handled close to 53,000 helicopter movements in 2014.

The group is building a dedicated terminal for helicopter activity in Nice, scheduled to open by the end of April this year.

The heliport of Monaco saw 34,000 helicopter movements in 2014 for nearly 100,000 passengers, particularly on the helicopter route between Monaco and Nice. Monaco heliport is also to undergo renovation.
