Maltese operator PrivaJet has successfully completed an 11 stop round-the-world trip using a BBJ on behalf of a Middle Eastern client.

The trip, organised by Vertis Aviation, took just under a month to complete. It departed Riyadh then headed to the southern hemisphere taking in Cairns, Hamilton Island, Sydney and Queenstown in Australasia before heading to Argentina and landing at Mendoza and then Buenos Aires. The final sectors took in the US cities of Dallas, Las Vegas and Los Angeles before heading east to Paris and back to Riyadh.

The BBJ was chosen for the route owing to its capacity to serve long sectors. Its 12-hour range reduced the number of tech stops required, and the client reports that its spacious bedroom and excellent wi-fi connectivity ensured maximum comfort. Two flight attendants and a Michelin starred chef accompanied the passengers.

“It was a challenging but successful trip which we managed to execute to the customer's satisfaction, owing to our excellent relationship with PrivaJet,” says Vertis partner Jeffrey Emmenis. “Fortunately PrivaJet is an efficient management company that under-stands the special requirements of our clients, and they have the same boutique approach to maintaining the highest quality of service as we do.”

Adds PrivaJet commercial director Jerome Franier: “From an operational and management point of view, the challenge with a trip such as this was to be able to control the costs transparently, by anticipating the possible problems and finding the right solutions without comp-romising on quality and safety.”
