Qatar Executive is to add another Global 5000 Vision to its fleet next month, in order to meet demand during the summer season. The announcement follows the acquisition of a Global Vision at the end of 2013, and will increase the operator's owned fleet to eight, including four Global 5000s, three Challenger 605s and one Global XRS.

The latest aircraft can accommodate up to 13 passengers, and all seats can be converted to beds. Ceo Akbar Al Baker says his latest aircraft will be a very popular choice for his clients: “With its extended range, maximum comfort levels and state-of-the-art technology, the Global Vision is perfectly suited to leaders who need to be connected to their global businesses around the world in the shortest amount of time.”

David Edwards, executive vp, adds: “With the recent deliveries of our Global 5000 jets we are well-positioned to accommodate increased demand during the busy summer travel season and we look forward to serving our customers with this enhanced product offering.”

The company is also boosting its Bombardier maintenance services for aircraft registered in Bahrain and the Cayman Islands. Its MRO facility in Doha has received approvals from the Bahrain CAA to conduct line maintenance services for Challenger 604s, 605s and Globals, and approvals for line and base maintenance have also been granted by the Cayman authorities. Edwards comments: “The latest maintenance upgrade is an important step towards establishing Qatar Executive not just as a leading charter operator, but also as a premier private jet MRO facility in the Middle East.”
