Munich-based MHS Aviation has added a second Challenger 604, a 2002 model, to its charter fleet. The nine-seater jet will increase the size of the operator's fleet to 14 aircraft, and follows on from the Phenom 100 it added last month.

“The demand in the heavy jet sector is huge. We therefore selected another Challenger 604 as an appropriate addition,” says chief commercial officer Stefan Buschle. “With two Challengers, we offer double the benefits to our customers and we have a higher degree of availability. We can reduce the positioning costs if one of the aircraft is close to the requested airport.”

With a range in excess of 3,000 nm the jet can fly non-stop from London to Dubai, and has a refined interior with two 'comfort zones'. The seats can be converted into four beds, and it has a cabin height of 185 cm.

Along with the two Challenger 604s and the Phenom 100, the company operates five Learjets, four Dornier Do328s, and two vip AW109s. Buschle is confident that further deliveries will take place in the near future.
