May 28, 2024
Aero-Dienst GmbH, the Nuremberg, Germany full-service provider for business aviation and air ambulance services, will expand its range of maintenance services at Vienna Airport in Austria starting at the end of June 2024, when it will begin performing line maintenance for Phenom 300 business jets made by the Brazilian company, Embraer.
Established in 2006, the maintenance line station will be able to perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work under its Part 145 approval up to 2,400 flight hour and 48 month inspections, and it will be able to work on components, batteries and wheels. In addition, the range of services will also include 24/7 AOG (aircraft on ground) service.
Due to the central position of its Vienna location within Europe, Aero-Dienst expects a high demand for its expert maintenance services on this aircraft type, one of the highest-selling type in its class. Christian Weigl, Aero-Dienst Vienna's station manager, puts it this way: “With the maintenance approval certificate issued at the end of June, we expect a rapid increase in orders for maintenance services on the Phenom 300.”
Vienna Airport is a popular destination for business jet operators and owners of this light jet. The available technology, performance and convenience make it very attractive for business travellers. “We will have bulked up our expert team of Phenom 300 specialists to a total of three technicians with Cat B1/2 type approval by the end of the year,” adds Weigl.
“Adding the Phenom 300 to our portfolio represents another step in Aero-Dienst's growth strategy that we announced years ago,” says Florian Heinzelmann, head of maintenance at Aero-Dienst. “This also includes the March 2024 hangar expansion at our Vienna station, as well as adding to and training our experienced and motivated local team. This is what enables us to maintain a new aircraft type to our customers' fullest satisfaction.”
In addition to its headquarters in Nuremberg and facility in Vienna, Aero-Dienst also operates stations in Klagenfurt and Graz in Austria and a maintenance station near Munich in Oberpfaffenhofen that was set up three years ago. Its component shop in Landsberg am Lech allows Aero-Dienst to provide fast and local repairs for maintenance operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
