Latitude satcom adds EASA STC for Bombardier Dash-8 aircraft

Latitude Technologies, the premier global supplier of flight data monitoring, flight following, and satcom solutions has received EASA supplemental type certificate (STC) on Bombardier’s Dash-8 model aircraft for all Latitude SkyNode satcom models, including the latest Safety Services Voice TSO’d S200-012 ATS system.

The STC also supports the installation of the IONode Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system, which is capable of providing fully automated data gathering and distribution, real-time alerting for flight operations and maintenance quality assurance including fuel management programs. Latitude is excited to expand its system capabilities into the European community and its member states.

Bombardier’s Dash-8 aircraft, which have been in circulation for over 30 years, are a series of twin-engine, medium range, turboprop airliners that operate with a focus on improved cruise performance and low operational costs. The inclusion of Latitude’s hardware helps to assist these operational goals by providing Dash-8s with a reliable means for satellite voice, data networking and messaging that works everywhere, while also supporting FOQA/MOQA functions. Latitude is proud to add the Dash-8 to their SkyNode S200’s list of FAA, TCCA, and EASA certified aircraft models, consisting of over 900 different helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.

The STC in accordance with EASA include the following Bombardier Dash-8 models:

- DHC-8-102 / 103 / 106

- DHC-8-201 / 202 / 301

- DHC-8-311 314 / 315

- DHC-8-401 / 402.
