A new version of Aircraft Industries' L410 turboprop aircraft rolled out of its Czech Republic factory on July 15, sporting GE's H85 engine. The Czech aircraft producer plans to begin L410 NG production in 2017, following first flight of the aircraft later this year.

The H Series engine features an advanced reduction gearbox which lowers lower maximum propeller speed from 2,080 rmp to 1,950 rmp, resulting in external and internal noise reduction. The engine increases maximal cruise speed to 225 knots.

The L410 NG commuter aircraft inherits the advanced technologies of the L-410UVP-E20 aircraft calls for service life to 30,000 flight hours and/or cycles and is featuring a number of improvements.

With more than 1 200 L410s produced, Aircraft Industries plans up to thirty L410 NG aircrafts produced per year in the future.

In addition to the L410, the H Series turboprop engine has been selected to power a variety of aircraft including the Nextant Aerospace G90XT, Thrush Aircraft 510G, CAIGA AG300 aircraft. Built to handle harsh conditions and extreme environments, the H Series engine is an ideal power plant for both new and STC aircraft applications serving a variety of aircraft segments, including agriculture, utility, commuter and business aircraft all around the world.
