Press Release
Issued by Oriens Maintenance Services.
April 28, 2015
Pilatus Aircraft Ltd has appointed Oriens Aviation Ltd as an authorised PC-12 sales and service centre for the British Isles. The new company will be responsible for all future sales and maintenance of the PC-12 turboprop in this territory.
Oriens Aviation is a new business with an experienced team. Sales and marketing director Craig Lammiman has been selling aircraft for seven years with over twenty aircraft sold in the last four years alone. Ceo Edwin Brenninkmeyer combines a broad business and leadership background with 3,500 hours as a passionate commercial and private aviator. In addition to building businesses in other industries, he has expanded his aviation management experience through board memberships, aviation investments and aviation commercial consultancy. Brenninkmeyer and Lammiman are overseen by a board consisting of senior aviation and other business leaders with a proven track record of building and growing major global aviation brands.
Edwin Brenninkmeyer, director of Oriens Aviation, comments: “Oriens Aviation is delighted to be affiliated with a credible and recognised global brand, matching Swiss engineering with British entrepreneurship. With approximately 40 aircraft already imported into the UK and Ireland since 1994, the PC-12 is extremely popular in this market. Given its unique operating performance and capabilities, we fully expect it to remain a very attractive aircraft for many years to come. The British Isles have the highest number of airfields per square mile anywhere in Europe, many of which are grass strips and small runways. The PC-12 makes it possible to turn this opportunity into tangible and practical versatility. If the sport utility vehicle gave the people of the UK and Ireland motoring versatility, the PC-12 does the equivalent for the skies.”
Ignaz Gretener, vp general aviation at Pilatus adds: "We are delighted to add Oriens Aviation as a new partner on the British Isles. The PC-12 has traditionally had a strong presence in the United Kingdom and we are convinced that Oriens Aviation will tie in and develop this tradition. The founders and staff of Oriens Aviation have substantial industry experience and will be able to offer customised support to existing and future PC-12 owners on the British Isles.“
Oriens Aviation will now focus on building a strong sales and service operation for the benefit of existing and future owners and operators. With the new aircraft sales activity ongoing, Oriens is currently evaluating a number of options for its new main base, to be located in the southern half of the UK.
