Hawker Pacific, the leading aircraft sales and product support company in Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East and Bell Helicopter's independent representative for Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and the UAE, has brokered a deal between Bell Helicopter and Abu Dhabi Aviation for 10 Bell 525 Relentless aircraft. A letter Of intent was signed between the two companies marking the first foray of the Relentless into the Middle East.
Paul Giles, Hawker Pacific chief operating officer, Middle East said: “This deal is a testament to the strength of our relationship with Abu Dhabi Aviation – one that is founded on trust and results. Hawker Pacific and Abu Dhabi Aviation have been doing business together for many years and we understand Abu Dhabi Aviation's needs on a fundamental level.”
“The addition of the extremely capable Bell 525 Relentless will complement Abu Dhabi Aviation's existing fleet of more than 38 Bell aircraft, including the ever-popular Bell 412 and 212. The Relentless is an incredibly versatile aircraft that will be able to provide maximum value to Abu Dhabi Aviation's missions – including offshore, emergency medical, vip, fire fighting and search and rescue.”
“The Relentless is the world's first fly-by-wire commercial helicopter and it is an absolute thrill for us to bring the first order to the Middle East. Building on our relationship with Abu Dhabi Aviation with such a ground-breaking aircraft is evidence of the continuing growth and prosperity of the aviation sector in the region,” said Mr Giles.
The Bell 525 has been developed with continuous customer input, offering unparalleled situational awareness and enhanced safety and reliability. The Bell 525 also features the reliable performance enabled by world-class GE engines, a Garmin G5000H fully-integrated glass flight deck, and Bell's LATD™ technology for improved hover performance. Bell Helicopter is currently on course for the first flight of the Bell 525 late this year with two aircraft currently in assembly.
