StandardAero to provide hot section inspections on PW615 engines - on-wing or in-house

StandardAero announced that it has launched dedicated Mobile Repair Teams (MRT) conducting on-wing hot section inspections (HSIs) and repairs for the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PW610 and PW615 series engine.

StandardAero is an independent provider of turbofan engine MRO and the world's only independent P&WC authorized Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the support of the PW610F-A and PW615F-A.

“Providing on-wing services like HSI at a location of the customer's choice assures the customer of the fastest and most efficient use of their precious down-time” said Rob Cords, senior vice president, StandardAero.

StandardAero has on wing HSIs in a range of global locations such as Prague, Czech Republic, Paris, France; Valencia, Spain; New Orleans, LA, Orlando, Fla., Wichita, Kan., as well as at the Knoxville, Tenn. Airport (TYS) near the company's Maryville, Tenn., overhaul facility. Today's announcement gives operators the on-wing HSI work they need in the locations they require.

As the world's first independent Pratt & Whitney Canada PW610F and PW615F Designated Overhaul Facility, StandardAero is at the forefront of next generation engine overhaul, maintenance and repair. Combining StandardAero on-wing services with this complete overhaul capability gives the customer the added advantage knowing that no matter what the engine maintenance need, StandardAero can provide a solution. The PW610F-A and PW615F-A engines power the Eclipse 500 and Cessna Mustang.

StandardAero will be exhibiting at the 66th Annual National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Convention and Expo, October 22 – 24, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nev.; Booth N6116.
