Embraer Executive Jets has broadened the scope of cooperation with Metrojet Ltd., the first Embraer Authorized Service Center for its executive jets in greater China, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for maintenance support for its new midsize Legacy 500 business jet.
The move is part of the company's efforts to have comprehensive product support in place around the world before the Legacy 500 enters service in the first half of 2014. Since September 2012, Embraer Executive Jets has signed MoUs with some 20 service centers worldwide for Legacy 500 product support.
“The past year has seen the service excellence Metrojet offers to our customers,” said Siu Ying Yeung, chief operating officer of Embraer China. “The expansion of the service mission with Metrojet underscores our continuous efforts to provide best services for current and future operations of Embraer Executive Jets in the region.”
“Embraer Executive Jets has great products and services which are well received by customers worldwide,” said Björn Näf, ceo of Metrojet Ltd. “Metrojet appreciates the opportunity to work with such a reputable company. With dedicated efforts from both sides, we will truly be able to serve our customers with best-in-class service.”
As one of the largest MRO facilities in Asia, Hong Kong-based Metrojet became an Embraer Authorized Service Center for the Lineage 1000, Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 in August 2011. Metrojet also manages a fleet of three Embraer Executive Jets aircraft.
