May 21, 2013
NetJets Europe has today announced that it will be taking delivery of the Signature Series Phenom 300 jets from Embraer Executive Jets.
The Phenom 300 will become the first light cabin NetJets Signature Series™ aircraft to enter the European marketplace, following the delivery of the first aircraft to the NetJets US fleet earlier this month. The first Phenom 300 aircraft is expected to arrive in Europe in early 2014 with the additional aircraft to arrive over the next few years.
“We are delighted that NetJets Europe will be receiving the Signature Series Phenom 300* aircraft,” said Mark Wilson, president & chief operating officer, NetJets Europe. “The high performance aircraft is ideally suited to our European customers for safety, reliability, interior comfort and operating efficiency. It will expand on the unparalleled offering and capabilities of the NetJets Europe fleet.”
The NetJets Signature Series™ Phenom 300 seats up to 7 passengers, features a full refreshment centre, custom cabin amenities including a customised galley and a single-serve coffee maker, advanced in-flight entertainment systems, and a fully-enclosed aft lavatory. NetJets worked closely with Embraer to build the Phenom 300 to its customers' exacting specifications – from the custom cabin interior to the specific technical and performance characteristics. The aircraft can fly a range of 2,718km or just over three and a half hours. It can reach destinations such as Istanbul, Helsinki and Bucharest from London.
“The NetJets order, one of the largest in our history, is a significant milestone for Embraer Executive Jets,” said Ernest Edwards, president, Embraer Executive Jets. “It is a validation of our mission to raise the bar in the business aviation industry and introduce technology and amenities normally found in larger, more expensive executive jets to each segment of the corporate aviation industry. We are eager to reinforce the partnership we have forged with NetJets Europe to deliver its unique Signature SeriesTM Phenom 300 in the near future.”
The high performance aircraft is ideally suited to NetJets Europe's customers wishing to fly a light cabin aircraft that is safe, reliable and operationally efficient. The aircraft also offers the highest standards of interior comfort and expands on the unparalleled offerings and capabilities of NetJets Europe fleet. The NetJets Signature Series™ Phenom 300 aircraft features exceptional design, premium comfort and impressive performance. The aircraft will include the Prodigy Touch Flight Deck, based on the Garmin 3000 platform. The Prodigy Touch flight deck provides enhanced pilot interface and situational awareness. This marks the first-in-service application of this advanced avionics system.
The addition of the NetJets Signature Series™ Phenom 300 to the NetJets worldwide fleet is part of NetJets' plan to add up to 670 new aircraft with a total value of $17.6 billion over the next decade. In addition to the Phenom 300 and Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft, the company globally will be adding the following aircraft over the next 10 years: Bombardier Challenger models, the Cessna Citation Latitude as well as the Global 7000 and 8000 aircraft.
