FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that its first Pilatus PC-12NG aircraft simulator has been qualified to Level D by the United States Federal Aviation Administration and Transport Canada. FlightSafety also announces that it will build a Level D qualified simulator for the Pilatus PC-12-47 (Series 10) aircraft.
Training has begun at FlightSafety's Dallas Learning Center for the PC-12NG. The new PC-12 simulator is scheduled to enter service in Dallas early in 2014.
"We look forward to welcoming Pilatus PC-12NG and Pilatus PC-12 operators from around the world to our Dallas Learning Center and to providing them with the high quality training and outstanding service they deserve," said Bruce Whitman, president & ceo.
Pilots, maintenance technicians and other aviation professionals who operate and support the Pilatus PC-12NG and PC-12 aircraft will benefit from comprehensive training programs provided by FlightSafety's highly qualified and experienced instructors.
Both Pilatus simulators will feature FlightSafety's industry leading electric motion and control loading system that offers the highest level of aircraft fidelity, enhanced performance, increased availability, and lower life cycle costs compared to previous-generation devices. They will also be equipped with FlightSafety's advanced VITAL X visual system that provides 200 x 40 degree Field-of-View, features continuous global satellite high-resolution imagery, supports hundreds of six Degree of Freedom fully articulated moving models, and is capable of presenting a wide variety of environmental conditions.
The Pilatus PC-12NG simulator is equipped with the Honeywell Primus Apex avionics suite and incorporates synthetic vision. It is expected to be qualified by the European Aviation Safety Agency in the coming months. Qualification by other regulatory agencies around the world will be applied for and obtained according to Customer needs.
The Dallas Learning Center currently has 21 full flight simulators for business and commercial aircraft manufactured by Bombardier, Embraer, Dassault, Eurocopter, Pilatus, and Gulfstream. The Center will soon offer training for the Bell 212, 412, and 430 helicopters.
