FlightSafety International and Honda Aircraft Company announce that the design and manufacture of the first full flight simulator for the HondaJet is underway. Training using the first HondaJet full flight simulator will be available at Honda Aircraft Company's facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. Other locations to be added according to customer requirements.
"The design and manufacture of the new HondaJet full flight simulator is underway," said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO, FlightSafety International. "We appreciate and value our close working relationship with Honda and together look forward to providing training in conjunction with aircraft deliveries."
FlightSafety's courseware developers and Simulation engineers continue to work closely with Honda to develop the HondaJet training programs and advanced technology-training devices. Pilot and maintenance technician training programs will be conducted using FlightSafety's full motion flight simulator as well as other advanced flight training devices, including Graphical Flight Deck Simulators and MATRIX classroom training equipment.
FlightSafety will provide initial, type rating, and recurrent HondaJet pilot training, for both single and dual-crew operations. FlightSafety also will provide the HondaJet mentor program to further enhance safety. One of FlightSafety's highly qualified instructors will fly with pilots of the HondaJet to help ensure they are fully prepared to operate the aircraft safely. The FlightSafety HondaJet programs will provide FAA and EASA approved certified training courses.
The Maintenance Technician training program for the HondaJet will include comprehensive theoretical ground school and practical hands-on training programs, presented by trained HondaJet FlightSafety instructors. Approved and certified by both the FAA and EASA.
The HondaJet simulator will be equipped with FlightSafety's latest technology including electric motion and control loading and a VITAL X visual system. The electric motion and control loading system contributes to the simulator's high level of fidelity, enhanced performance and increased reliability. It also offers environmental advantages compared to previous generation motion systems. FlightSafety's VITAL X Visual System provides 60 x 200 degree Field of View and continuous global high-resolution satellite imagery capable of presenting environmental conditions experienced during all phases of flight, from taxi and takeoff to landing.
