Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. will showcase two of its aircraft – the wide-cabin, high-speed G150 and the large-cabin, long-range G450 – at India Aviation 2012 in Hyderabad, India, from March 14 to 18. For the first time in India, attendees will be able to view the G450's Elite interior, the all-new optional interior inspired by Gulfstream's ultra-large cabin, ultra-long-range G650.
The aircraft will be available for viewing at the Begumpet Airport on Sardar Patel Road in Hyderabad. In addition to the aircraft on static display, Gulfstream will have a chalet to host customers.
"Gulfstream has 175 aircraft in Asia Pacific, a number that has grown 350 percent in the last five years," said Larry Flynn, president, Gulfstream. "Part of that growth is attributable to the efforts we extend during the India Aviation show, where we communicate our aircraft's tremendous capabilities, their industry-leading dispatch reliability rates and the broad range of missions they can perform."
The G450's Elite interior – an option designed to appeal to international entrepreneurs – incorporates the new Gulfstream Cabin Management System (GCMS). Using an iPod touch®, passengers can control the lighting, temperature, speakers, monitors, entertainment equipment, window shades, CabinViewâ„¢ Passenger Information System and attendant call from anywhere on the aircraft. The cabin management system has been designed to ensure no single-point failure will result in the complete loss of system functionality, including lighting, cabin control and entertainment systems.
The design also features leather ledges, less veneer and more high-gloss, painted surfaces within the cabin. For maximum comfort, the seats come fully loaded with telescoping headrests, flexible wings, waterfall leg rests, electric lumbar controls with optional heat and massage, and one-touch full-flat berthing. The galley and annex were reconfigured to remind passengers of their kitchens at home, with a stainless-steel-trimmed appliance stack with two coffee makers, a microwave and a convection oven.
The G150 recently surpassed 100,000 flight hours for the 95 aircraft in its fleet. With the longest range at the fastest speed, an advanced avionics suite and the most comfortable cabin, the G150 has a dispatch reliability rate of 99.88 percent and an availability rate of 92.59 percent.
