Blackhawk Modifications leads innovative King Air & PT6A performance conference series

Blackhawk Modifications, Inc., a trusted supplier of products and services for the PT6A market, is organizing a highly specialized forum for operators and industry experts to meet, interact and learn. The first conference of 2011 will be held February 24-26 at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, Calif. Globally recognized King Air authority Tom Clements, author of "The King Air Book," will be a keynote speaker. Plus, Pratt & Whitney Canada will provide important updates about customer service, training, technical briefings and more.

"Blackhawk Modifications is thrilled to participate in and serve as a host for this important conference series," said Jim Allmon, Blackhawk president. "Everyone involved in the King Air and PT6 communities will benefit from the invaluable experience, expertise and knowledge of the specialists in attendance." Blackhawk will coordinate multiple conferences this year, and all are designed to help operators expand their knowledge base conveniently and cost-effectively. In addition to structured presentations and information about technical improvements, the conferences provide important opportunities for questions and beneficial informal discussions.

In addition to Blackhawk, other sponsors and hosts include BLR Aerospace, Cutter Aviation, Elliott Aviation, Falcon Insurance, Garmin, Hawker Beechcraft Services, Mather Aviation, LLC, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Raisbeck Engineering and The Trend Group. These enterprises offer a comprehensive portfolio of services that improve the safety, reliability, performance and operating cost profiles of King Air aircraft, PT6A engines and their avionics and functional systems.

Anyone interested in attending the Performance Conference may call (254-755-6711), e-mail (Donnie@blackhawk.aero) or visit the Performance Conference web site (www.performance.aero/Register.aspx) for details and registration forms. For reservations at the Airtel Plaza Hotel, located on the Van Nuys Airport in the San Fernando Valley, participants may call 800-2AIRTEL and mention the conference for a discounted rate. Four FBOs, listed at www.fltplan.com/AirportInformation/KVNY.htm, operate at Van Nuys Airport and are able accommodate attendees who fly to the meeting.

The aircraft and engine owners, operators and maintainers attending the meeting will have many opportunities to raise issues with the expert hosts and also exchange experiences and views with their peers. A golf tournament at Woodley Lakes Municipal Golf Course in Van Nuys will follow the conference on Saturday, Feb. 26. All presentations, as well as an opening reception and dinner on Feb. 24 and lunches on both days, are free of charge for registered participants.
