70 per cent of the service's emergencies occurred in the south of the region, nearer the more densely populated cities such as Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth as well as the Isle of Wight.

The four-year contract extension will support the charity’s relocation near Southampton Airport, ensuring advanced H135 operations continue across the region.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance began work on a new site that is expected to become operational by March 2026.
