Hybrid-electric propulsion is a core part of RTX's technology roadmap for improving fuel efficiency and performance in future aircraft, leveraging the propulsion and electrical systems expertise of Pratt & Whitney.

AeroTEC and magniX will accelerate the introduction of Surf Air's electrification technology, while its acquisition of Southern Airways and a merger with Tuscan Holdings will provide resources to bring it to market.

Air Tindi has joined magniX in its development of electric powertrain technology by providing a Dash 7 that will be modified for flight testing on a NASA project. The first flight is planned for 2025.
