Zimex Aviation has operated Twin Otter aircraft for more than five decades and continues to rely on the aircraft's versatility and reliability to support customers in some the world's most challenging environments.

The aircraft, which will be delivered in amphibious gear, will be deployed to strengthen Ethiopian Airlines' domestic and regional network, enabling the airline to access underserved airstrips and remote locations.

The upgraded De Havilland aircraft was presented at the 2025 Paris Air Show ahead of delivery as serial number 998 of the type.
