The Passport engine has completed certification for the Global 8000, the fastest civil aircraft since Concorde. In service Passports are currently around 600,000 flight hours and 200,000 cycles, with 99.9% dispatchability.

GE Aerospace has extended authorisation to ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East, making it the only approved service centre for GE Passport engines in North Africa and the Middle East.

NASA recently awarded GE Aerospace a contract for Phase 2 of the HyTEC project to continue developing technologies for an aircraft engine core demonstrator test later this decade. GE is stepping up to the mark.
