Overview

The Nextant 400XT is a modified and modernised Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP from US remanufacturer Nextant Aerospace that accommodates up to eight passengers.

The 400XT is equipped with a Williams FJ44-3AP FADEC turbofan engine in place of the P&W 400A, and a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated avionics suite. Aerodynamic and airframe enhancements include a streamlined, conically lofted engine cowling along with a newly designed engine beam and mounting system that increase range and fuel efficiency while reducing climb times and operating costs.

The 400XT made its first test flight in March 2010 and a maiden flight from Cuyahoga County airport in September that same year. It was unveiled at EBACE in May 2011 and received FAA certification in the following October. EASA certification arrived in December 2012 and deliveries began later that month.

The upgraded Nextant 400XTi model was introduced in 2014. Its FADEC FJ44-3AP engine gives greater range and fuel efficiency and it is certified to Category IV noise compliance regulations.
