Wales Air Ambulance aims to introduce a second 'New Generation' EC135 within weeks. It unveiled its first EC135 at Caernarfon. Angela Hughes, ceo, (pictured) says: "The new aircraft will make a big difference to the work that the paramedics carry out.

"The Bolkow 105 has given great service but is a standard helicopter that has been converted to an air ambulance. The EC-135 is a purpose-built air ambulance which has had design input from experienced aircrew paramedics."
