PrivatAir crews now undergoing their regular training are among those that can look forward to their future working environment being enhanced by advice and help provided by students of the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne (EHL). "The additional resources on some flights are part of a wider initiative that PrivatAir has launched in partnership with EHL to continually improve service levels onboard its aircraft," explains Victor Grove, PrivatAir's vp customer service and training.
For several years, as part of their mandatory training, all PrivatAir crew members have attended a bespoke three-day hospitality course hosted by EHL, a non-profit foundation that was the world's first hotel school. "This keeps staff up-to-date with key elements of their role such as nutrition, table service, menu planning, hygiene and safety as well as improving their cultural awareness and beverage knowledge," Grove says.
PrivatAir has now enlisted the services of six "outstanding" EHL students (who have deferred their studies until summer 2008) as additional crew members working on private charter flights.
