Seagle Jet looks east and builds Citation fleet
Slovakian operator Seagle Jet, granted its own AOC earlier this year, is building a fleet of Citations to cater to rising demand, especially in eastern Europe.

Slovakian operator Seagle Jet, granted its own AOC earlier this year, is building a fleet of Citations to cater to rising demand, especially in eastern Europe.

Daniel Solnik, md Seagle Jet says: "Our two CJ1s are being kept very busy. We are enjoying extremely good business. The demand means we are flying around the whole of Europe but most especially to Bulgaria, Romania and sometimes to Latvia, the Ukraine and Czech Republic."

He says the economy in Slovakia is performing well and this is generating a corporate need to service inter-national business, particularly to the East. Solnik predicts that more Citations will be added to the Seagle Jet fleet.

"We have two or three clients that want to buy their own aircraft. They like the CJ1 and the CJ2," Solnik adds. "The CJs are extremely good aircraft for carrying small parties of businessmen and we want to stay in this sector. However, it might well be that we will add VLJs to cater for client demand because a lot of interest has been expressed in these aircraft as well."

Seagle Jet's associate company Seagle Air is building a Boeing 737-300 fleet that will focus on private as well as holiday charter. Martin Stulajter, Seagle Air ground and sales manager, says the first 737 has been delivered and more will be added.

"There is an increasing demand for travel to southern Europe," Stulajter says. "Much of the current demand is centred around Bucharest but there is a growing demand for service from other cities."
