Markoss Aviation UK plans to add two CRJ-200s and a CRJ-900 to its charter fleet in 2008. Rob Spence, md, says: "We believe there is a good demand for this type of aircraft, which is why Markoss is making this significant investment."
The CRJ-200s are scheduled for delivery in February and March with the CRJ-900 following by the third quarter. Sales and marketing manager Trudi Squires says: "One of the major selling points of the CRJs is that they are a very comfortable executive single class hospitality aircraft with 46 all leather seats but they also offer low operating costs. We believe that many corporate, banking, sporting and entertainment companies will want to maximise the obvious benefits."
Spence adds: "The regional jets will allow us to expand our network to ensure that we deliver the right aircraft to meet demand." The Markoss Aviation Hawker 800XP is generating tremendous demand, he says. "In 2008 Markoss Aviation will focus on developing the related potential of executive charter, private management and hangar facilities, all of which are set to expand with business demand." Spence says Markoss Aviation is actively looking to add further aircraft to its management fleet. "We have received a number of approaches from owners looking to benefit from the more focused management services of a smaller fleet operator," he adds.
