Spain readies launch of three new surveillance aircraft
The Spanish ministry of infrastructures this summer will put into service three CASA CN-235-300 SM01 maritime surveillance aircraft. The minister, Magdalena Alvarez, says: "Their main missions will be maritime search and rescue and pollution control. "The CN-235-300 is an extensively proved aircraft in maritime patrol missions with over nine hours of mission duration time. Its equipment includes state-of-the-art systems and sensors and we were impressed by FITS, a Fully Integrated Tactical System."
