Seagle Air hunts second aircraft to meet demand
Slovakia's Seagle Air aims to bring a preowned CJ2 or CJ2+ into service as it plans ahead to meet peak summer demand. The new aircraft will join a Cessna 525 CitationJet which started operations in January after Seagle Air identified a unmet demand for vip charter.

Peter Hanak, general director, says: "We want another aircraft because the business is good. We are looking for a preowned CJ2 or CJ2+ and have a broker scouring the marketplace."

Seagle Air, based in Bratislava, previously operated an L-410 for cargo or up to 19 passengers.

But Hanak says: "We identified a gap in the market. There are few, if any, jets for charter in Slovakia although there are some turboprops. The Cessna 525 CitationJet has proved very popular and that's why we are looking at another jet, this time probably the CJ2."

He adds: "The Slovakian market is small but the demand for travel to European destinations is strong especially to the north, south and east, perhaps around 50 per cent of the flights are to western Europe."

Seagle Air, which also operates a flight school and a maintenance facility and is a distributor of Diamond aircraft, anticipates servicing increasing leisure as well as business demand.

Seagle Jet, which provides the charter, was established in 2006 and Seagle Air, which holds the AOC, was established in 1995. It is licensed to operate scheduled and non-scheduled air services for passengers, cargo and mail.
