Swiss aviation consultant AVEX reports a growing trend in Europe to outsource compliance as business aircraft operators move to cut the time involved in meeting increasingly strict safety regimes.
Andreas Grauer, md, says the order by Q-perfect launch customer Servair private charter, reflects a desire among charterers to automate the time-consuming aspects of the quality assurance process.
"European CAAs are placing great emphasis on compliance and standards and smaller operators, in particularly those with part-time managers, are having to find ways to cut down the amount of executive time involved," he adds. "There is a growing demand for an online ability to complete audit questionnaires and update them as required from anywhere at any time. But it is vital to ensure that, when audits and inspections are conducted by external personnel, the manager maintains full control of the process."
