Blue Line converts more vip business
Paris-based Blue Line reports that investment in making its whole fleet versatile and "vip attractive" is paying off in increased business. Laurent Valet, vp marketing, says Blue Line has completed work to enable a new vip MD83 configuration to be offered.

Paris-based Blue Line reports that investment in making its whole fleet versatile and "vip attractive" is paying off in increased business.

Laurent Valet, vp marketing, says Blue Line has completed work to enable a new vip MD83 configuration to be offered.

Blue Line has two MD83s and two Fokker 100s. The MD83s now can be configured for 52 seat charter flights as well as the original 167 seat version following recently completed work on an interior upgrade. The Fokkers had already been custom designed to offer 52, 80 and 100 seat configurations.

The Fokker aircraft have three ovens, two boilers and two galleys, while the MD83s have four ovens, four boilers and four galleys.

Blue Line, launched five years ago, says that 80 per cent of its business is charter with sports teams, including the New Zealand All Blacks' rugby squad, among clients.

"The flexible configuration of the MD83 is already paying off in terms of increased capacity to service our vip business," says Valet. "It gives us further options in the same way that the purchase of a new aircraft enables you to offer clients more."

Based at Charles de Gaulle, Blue Line specialises in charters throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
