Len Rayment, director of FBO operations and business development at TAG, has left the company to set up his own business.

His new company, Weald Aviation, started trading on October 1, and offers consultancy to companies operating within the aviation industry.

"I'll be offering people the expertise I have built up during 40 years working in the aviation industry.

"For example, there are many operators out there who would probably appreciate some help in how to negotiate how they are handled at various FBOs around the world.

"I would hope that I have the qualifications to give advice on pretty well any aspect within the aviation industry from someone just setting themselves up in the industry, through to established companies looking to expand or improve their services."

Rayment's experience includes being md of Thurston Aviation (the first company in the UK to hold an AOC), and was instrumental in setting up FBO facilities at Farnborough 20 years ago.
