Bravo fills a niche for busy operator

Executive Aviation Services Ltd (EAS) has added a Citation Bravo to its AOC. The aircraft, which joins a managed fleet of Citations and a King Air 200, has already proven to be popular among the firm's clients, logging 26 hours in its first two weeks of operations.

"It's on the charter market and is flying most days" said managing director Peter Turner. "The feed-back has been superb; we had two requests for repeat trips in our first week."

The Cheltenham-based company anticipates that the aircraft's owner will require about 75 flight hours per year, and is hoping to log 400 commercial charter hours.

Turner states that 75 per cent of the charter work comes from brokers, with the rest coming from direct clients.

EAS is keen to develop it's charter services, especially in emerging markets. "We're doing lots of trips to Poland, for example, where the property market seems to be growing, so we're flying property developers out there."

The company has also performed business charter flights to Alicante, Faro and Helsinki with the Bravo. Turner believes that it is the most popular charter aircraft type in the country.

"The Bravo suits our fleet perfectly. It's a fast aeroplane, a good load carrier and fills the niche between the Citation II and Excel."

"We have new clients using the aircraft, as well as existing clients who were flying on the Citation II and transferred to the Bravo," he added. "This hasn't done any harm to the Citation II though, as the Bravo has generated extra work for both aircraft."

The Bravo joins a Citation II based in Cheltenham, where EAS - the sole jet charter operator on the field - also operates an FBO.
