Luxembourg-based Ocean Group states that it had been looking to invest in the business aviation sector for some time, having noticed expanding markets in Europe and Russia.

Ocean Group ceo Oliver Ripley said: "Having needed to use private jets for travel on a regular basis, we began to understand that Aircraft Zone differed from other private jet charter companies by offering a service that was superior in quality and value.

"Our great working relationship developed into a friendship and when we decided to invest in the private jet sector it was the obvious choice."
