Shared chalet finds favour with FIA exhibitors

There has been an enthusiastic response to the shared hospitality chalet facility within the Business Aircraft Park at this year's Farnborough International Air Show.

At the Business Aircraft Park (BAP), shared chalet companies can buy hospitality by the day, allowing costs to be strictly controlled.

It is available to all companies, not just exhibitors and is open for the three days that the BAP is operational - Monday July 17 to Wednesday July 19 - and is located alongside the BAP aircraft display area.

A modest daily rate buys full access to the chalet for meeting and greeting, relaxation, informal discussions, viewing the flying display, plus morning coffee, a full lunch and afternoon tea. The only extra cost is alcoholic drinks to accompany the meal. The minimum booking is for two people for one day.

EBAN's Mark Ranger, who is handling the sales of this area on behalf of the show organisers commented: "Farnborough has a well-deserved reputation for being able to attract the very best clients, because of the huge range of hardware on show. There is also the daily flying display, and the BAP shared chalet is in a prime position for viewing the display each afternoon."

Companies can also display their aircraft in the BAP - both new and pre-owned aircraft are welcomed - and the rates are very attractive. With the added attraction of the shorter opening period of the area, this year's BAP display is expected to be significantly larger than 2004.

"I think the shared chalet concept is great; there is a tremendous number of companies who want to be involved in the Farnborough experience but cannot justify a full chalet for their own use. This not only gives them all of the advantages of the chalet programme, but it also strictly controls the overheads.
