On October 27, Le Castellet International Airport will begin operating its new distance measuring equipment, which is designed to improve safety for IFR approaches.
“The new DME will allow airport users to fully take advantage of our facilities by day and by night, and will allow us to optimise the existing aerial traffic as well, especially during winter time, when there is at the most seven to eight hours of sunlight per day,” commented Philippe Gurdjian, president and ceo of Le Castellet International Airport.
