Two years after the first aircraft entered service, Gulfstream has started production of its 100th G550 business jet. The aircraft replaced the GV model, of which 193 were built. "The G550 has exceeded our expectations in terms of customer acceptance," said Gulfstream president Bryan Moss. The 100th G550 is expected to receive its C of A from the FAA in February 2006.
