AirCell tests broadband system
Aircraft telecommunications specialist AirCell says it is now conducting technology demonstration flights for its broadband system.

Aircraft telecommunications specialist AirCell says it is now conducting technology demonstration flights for its broadband system.

The system features advanced voice and data applications, such as email, internet and multi-protocol voice communications. The company says that the service costs of the system will be comparable with terrestrial rates.

Engineering tests of the system will continue through the rest of 2005.
