BGAD shines, despite the rain
The English weather at it’s most unpredictable did not discourage some 350 business aviation professionals attending the EBAN and Marshall Aerospace promoted BGAD05 event on Thursday September 15. The 40 exhibitors reported good levels of interest and a high visitor quality, whilst the visitors enjoyed both the networking opportunities in the exhibition area and the display of various types of business and general aircraft in BGAD’s static display.

Many people who commented to EBAN on the presentation given by the UK’s National Air Traffic Services (NATS) on level busts said that they were unaware of the severity of the problem. In addition to the

article in this issue, we hope to bring you more detailed information from this presentation in a future issue of EBAN.

Although BGAD is designed to be a UK-oriented event, this year’s show did feature two exhibitors who travelled from Europe to Cambridge for the day. Belgian-based Aerotec has exhibited at all three BGAD events and managing director Luc Stultjens finds the show very productive for his company – although he wishes it was a two day event.

This year, Spanish charter and FBO operator Gestair exhibited at BGAD for the first time, and company president Isabel Macarron told EBAN that it had been a worthwhile event.

The weather did clear temporarily just after lunch time, which allowed Lanthwaite Aviation’s EC155 to land, which proved to be a considerable visitor attraction - as it is the first such helicopter in vip configuration on the UK register.

The BGAD05 website will remain active for the foreseeable future. So, if you were not able to make it on the day, or wish to contact any of the exhibitors, just log on to www.ebanmagazine.com/bgad05.
