Greer Aviation played host to some special guests in July. The Scottish FBO refuelled Air Force One on arrival at Prestwick Airport when it flew in for the G8 Summit, while at its Edinburgh location, staff looked after a USAF Gulfstream GIII on a White House support mission.

A spokesman noted that Air Force One took every last drop of fuel Greer could provide – a delivery of 120,000 litres.

The FBO also hosted the UK’s Joint Helicopter Command at Prestwick for the period around the G8 Summit. The JHC, which brings together helicopters from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force, used Greer’s facilities as a command and control base.
