Airgreen selects AB139 for medevac
Airgreen is the first company to operate an AB139 equipped for for aeromedical missions. The Italian company will use the aircraft for EMS flights during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin.

Airgreen is the first company to operate an AB139 equipped for for aeromedical missions. The Italian company will use the aircraft for EMS flights during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin.

The company is based at Robassomero, close to Turin, with a fleet of 15 helicopters, including an Ecureuil AS350 B2 and B3, three Bell 412s and an EC135 P1.

According to Bell/Agusta, the AB139 offers ‘maximum cabin flexibility for easy reconfiguration.’ It can be configured to transport up to four passengers within the eight cubic metre cabin.

“The AB139’s best in class interior design offers EMS operators a whole new dimension of capability and flexibility,” said Bell/Agusta md Lou Bartolotta. “We believe Airgreen is just the first of many operators around the world who will choose this aircraft for their life-saving applications.”
