JETS hopes maintenance approval will attract Dorniers
UK-based Jet Engineering Technical Support (JETS) has gained CAA approval to carry out line and base maintenance for the Dornier 328 Jet and turboprop.

UK-based Jet Engineering Technical Support (JETS) has gained CAA approval to carry out line and base maintenance for the Dornier 328 Jet and turboprop.

JETS’ hangar at Southampton AIrport is capable of accommodating three Dornier 328 aircraft, and houses mechanical and avionics workshops and a paint bay for small to medium-sized commercial aircraft.

It is currently licensed to provide base and line maintenance on the Hawker 125 through to 800XP executive jet series.

Managing director Mike Farge said: “We believe that our base at Southampton in southern England will prove an attractive region for European operators to send their aircraft.”

JETS’ principal clients are private executive jet owners in Europe but with the Dornier 328, Farge revealed that the company hopes to attract airline customers too. Its first Dornier customer is Club 328, the Southampton-based executive charter airline.
