Yacht interior inspires latest Winch-design
Lufthansa Technik’s Completion Center has struck a deal for the completion of a Boeing Business Jet in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Lufthansa Technik’s Completion Center has struck a deal for the completion of a Boeing Business Jet in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

A Russian outfitter will prepare the aeroplane, which is expected to be delivered in the middle of next year. It will then be operated by Vizavi Aviation. Andrew Winch who designed the Multiflight BBJ2 interior in 2003, designed this latest aeroplane, which is adapted from yacht interiors.

Its features will include a dining and conference area, a bathroom with shower, an executive lounge and a private state-room.

Walter Heerdt, Lufthansa Technik’s senior vp of marketing and sales, predicted a growing market in Russia for vip jets. “We want to be their partner for an unexcelled level of individual mobility,” he commented.

The latest order is the 18th BBJ to be outfitted by the German firm; 12 BBJs and 5 BBJ2s sporting its handiwork are already flying.

In addition, two Airbus A319 corporate jets and three A319LRs have been delivered to a number of shuttle operators.
