Heli Holland boosts rotary fleet with EC120 acquisition
Heli Holland has taken delivery of a Eurocopter EC120 B for use as a transport vehicle. It will also be used minimally for surveys and photography but the company’s main service is transport. It took delivery of the aircraft in March; the latest addition to a fleet that includes a Schweizer 330, Bell 206 LongRanger and an EC355 Twinstar.

The company chose the EC120 B because it is quiet and requires low maintenance. It will operate throughout the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. The helicopter seats three people in the front and two in the back, and will be used to provide transport for business people, small companies and Heli Holland’s own staff members.

According to René Haring, owner and chief pilot of Heli Holland, charter demand in Holland has remained steady, unlike other countries. Growth has been minimal over the past two years but it has made a significant improvement this year, which he hopes will continue.

As well as transport services, the firm offers maintenance, helicopter sales, filming and medical assistance. It also runs a helicopter flight school, which is a direct source for recruitment of most of its pilots.
