Dassault has performed its first test flight on a Falcon 7X s/n 02 at the company’s facility in Bordeaux-Merignac, France. The flight took off at 1407 local time in ideal conditions and lasted two hours 15 minutes. The Falcon test programme has logged 27 flights and 65 flight hours and 7X s/n 03 will join the test programme in September. The structure for 7X s/n 04 is fully assembled and systems are currently being installed.
News of the developments coincides with the promotion of Jacques Chauvet to vp of Falcon customer service for the eastern hemisphere. He will be responsible for Falcon operators and related activities in Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East. He joins Gerry Goguen, senior vp for the western hemisphere in New Jersey. Chauvet replaces Claude Frey, who retired after 40 years with Dassault.
